Energy storage option: ultracapacitor

“Ultracapacitor” – An ultracapacitor could be a suitable replacement for batteries in certain specific cases where a long backup period is not required. This solution is aimed at frequent voltage dips and short-term power outages or simply covering the time until the generator starts up or when the ambient temperature could threaten the life of the batteries. This would lead to very reliable, maintenance-free energy storage.
